It’s surprising how often we get asked something similar to this. As lawyers, we often have the reputation of being terrible pessimists and always looking at worst case scenarios! Yes, it’s true that IF the beneficiaries of your will are in agreement, and IF those books are not worth an awful lot, they MIGHT agree to your friend having the books. But it is important to remember that unless you make a specific gift of those books in your will, there is no guarantee that your friend will have them. Drafting wills is just as much about leaving those items which are important to you as it is about leaving money and property. Don’t leave it to chance.

A professionally drafted Will can help maximise what you leave behind for your loved ones – the key lies in expert forward planning. Please contact Iestyn.
